Frequently Asked Questions

A self-drive holiday allows travelers to explore a destination at their own pace in their own vehicle or renting a 4×4 vehicle and driving themselves. It offers freedom and flexibility, enabling you to create your own itinerary and explore remote or off-the-beaten-path locations.

Peak season campsite reservations for high-demand public parks such as DWNP in Botswana (Moremi, Chobe, Mabuasehube), Zimparks in Zimbabwe (Mana Pools, Hwange) and NWR (Etosha, Sossusvlei) – open 11 to 12 months in advance and sell out rapidly. Private concession sites and popular safari lodges also fill up fast for the dry season (May to October). We recommend locking in your core itinerary at least 8–10 months prior to travel to secure optimal site locations and minimize long transit days.

You can either share with us your preferred itinerary along with your chosen camps and lodges, and we’ll handle all the reservations, or you can fill out a questionnaire, and we’ll create a customized route for you based on your preferences.

Endless Africa specializes in guided overland tours and self-drive bookings across Southern Africa, specifically focusing on Botswana, Zambia, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Malawi and South Africa.

While you don’t need to be a professional off-roader, self-driving through remote reserves like Moremi, Savuti, or Mana Pools requires a true low-range 4×4 vehicle and an understanding of off-road driving techniques (such as lowering tire pressure for deep sand and assessing water crossings). When you plan your route with Endless Africa, we match every leg of your itinerary to your experience level and also whether you will be towing off-road caravans /trailers.

We operate in Africa, where “Africa time” certainly comes into play. Bookings typically take between 2 to 6 weeks to finalize.

Absolutely! Combining campsite and lodge stays in an itinerary can create a more diverse and enriching experience as you get to enjoy the best of both worlds.

Our first-hand knowledge and detailed planning allow us to create memorable holidays exploring the best the southern Africa has to offer. Additionally, we have a dedicated team on the ground offering guided tours in the region, providing us with accurate and up-to-date information on campsites and road conditions. This ensures you receive the best and most reliable travel advice.
